There is no maximum age limit to apply for a Student Visa in Australia. However, the Department of Home Affairs will factor in your age to determine, whether you are considered a genuine student. Generally, there is not a high visa success rate for students over 40 years of age without additional documents. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need additional welfare arrangements in order to be able to study in Australia.

Depending on the program that you study in Australia, you will have the potential for a 2 - 6 years stay back option on a post study work visa.

  • First requirement will be getting a Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) from your university
  • Enrollment in the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a must.
  • An adequate score of English Language Proficiency (ELP) Test.
  • You will have to meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria.
